If you ever got caught in a burning building, you would hope the firefighters would be able to run up the stairs to rescue you. It takes a lot of strength to be a firefighter and a good set of lungs. That’s why they spend time training for those rescues.
They do it in full gear and to challenge local fire departments, the American Lung Association is hosting the "Fight for Air" stair climb next month.
Rebecca Leclair was with a crew at the Bausch and Lomb building in Rochester this morning to explain how this is double duty for them.
