A 44-year-old upstate New York man is facing drug possession charges after walking into a state police substation and asking to speak with a trooper.
State police say Luis Morales of Newark drove to the barracks in Lyons and appeared to be intoxicated when he walked in. Troopers located a large quantity of cash in his pockets and his vehicle, along with over four ounces of cocaine, and arrested him.
Morales was arraigned in Town of Arcadia Court early Wednesday and sent to the Wayne County Jail without bail due to prior felony convictions.
Further charges are pending when Morales returns to court on Nov. 6.
