Those who are worried about the state's new Common Core exams will have a chance to voice their concerns.
The State Education Commissioner John King Jr. says he will hold a series of forums across the state. King had canceled several forums after some meetings became too raucous.
But officals say they want to hear what parents, teachers and students have to say. Since its implementation, many have been concerned about the increased testing saying students weren't prepared for the tests. Only a third of all students across the state actually passed.
There will be two forums held in our area, one on December 3 at WXXI and there's no word yet tonight on the date or location for a second forum.
