It was a special ceremony for one pet-loving organization in Rochester.
"Providing Animal Welfare Services," better known as "PAWS," held an open house Saturday afternoon for its new community clinic.
City Council President Lovely Warren and State Senator Joe Robach were on hand for the event.
People involved in the project say they're hoping the new clinic will help people take better care of their pets.
“The outreach and the education is not only going to help people, but at the end of the day really make animals a lot safer, a lot better and the community I think a little bit stronger,” said Senator Joe Robach, 56th District.
The new clinic was made possible by a donation from the ASPCA. PAWS says the clinic will help transform the state of animal welfare in Rochester and also help keep your pets at home safe and healthy.
