_A discussion about proposed apartments, on the east side of Rochester, was the topic of discussion tonight at the City Planning board meeting.
Developers, people who live in the area and others gathered at city hall tonight to talk about them. We’re told the property would be located off University Avenue, across from Gleason Works.
While some say this would add to the already historic neighborhood, others aren't so sure they agree.
Patrick, who is in favor of the project says, “We believe this is the right path for the neighborhood. It takes into account the past, present and future thinking to turn the neighborhood into something exceptional.”
Dr. Bruce Barnes, the George Eastman House Director, feels differently,” if this project is allowed to go forward it will dramatically adversely impact the view or vista from the east side of our property.”
A decision on the apartments was tabled until October 30th.
