Is your ATM code really only yours? A new study shows that more than 25-percent of bank customers are using the same small batch of pin numbers and that makes it easier for thieves to access your cash.
Research firm Data Genetics examined 3.4-millions pins and found that nearly 27-percent of us are actually using the same 20 codes.
The more common the combination, the easier it may be to crack if it falls into the wrong hands.
The most common ATM code is “1-2-3-4” and what may be more surprising is that this study shows that nearly 11-percent of cardholders actually use that very PIN.
The runner-up to the obvious “1-2-3-4” is “1-1-1-1” which is used by more then six-percent of us according to researchers.
Two-percent use "0-0-0-0" and the list goes on.
