The Times Union is reporting that Lieutenant Governor Bob Duffy interviewed for a job with the Rochester Business Alliance, a private business lobbying group, earlier this month.
As word got out, some people raised questions over ethics and conflicts of interest since Duffy has been chairman of Governor Andrew Cuomo's Economic Development Council so the paper says Duffy took himself out of the running.
Sandra Parker has run the RBA since 2003 and just rescinded her plans to retire at the end of the year. Instead, she says she will stay on indefinitely.
Duffy says he will continue as lieutenant governor until his term ends next year.
