A city man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital early Saturday morning after he was struck by a car on Main Street.
The Rochester Police Department says a 21-year-old man driving on Main Street had just passed through the Goodman Street intersection area when a 30-year-old man entered the roadway. Officers say the pedestrian was hit by the car and suffered serious injuries.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition, but police say he is now expected to survive.
Officers are checking red light cameras and evaluating the driver to make sure drugs and alcohol weren't a factor. At this time, officers say the pedestrian did not use a crosswalk.
