The Rochester Police Department says a man and a boy were shot in broad daylight on the city's west side Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the area of Chili Avenue and Thurston Road around 10:30 a.m. for reports of shots fired along with a Shotspotter activation.
When units arrived, they found no victims at the scene, but soon after a 11-year-old boy and a 29-year-old man arrived at Strong Memorial Hospital. Both the man and boy had been shot in the torso, according to police.
Investigators say the injuries appear to be non-life threatening and the investigation into the shooting is still ongoing.
