Do you borrow books or DVDs from the Irondequoit libraries? In December, people who live in the town will vote again on a proposed central library.
Back in April, voters approved a $13 million plan to combine the two branches into one high-tech facility. After that, the Irondequoit Post says seven people filed a lawsuit, citing what they thought were violations of a state environmental law. The Irondequoit Post says the town looked into it further and the board passed another bond resolution. Enough signatures were collected on a petition to do another public vote.
The second vote is scheduled for Saturday December 14 from 9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. It will be held at the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Roman Catholic Parish on Kings Highway.
