It's a simple gesture that could help to save someone's life. Organizers say we all can get involved.
A bone marrow drive is taking place in Spenceport Tuesday. It was organized by a local woman, Deb Moyer. She was diagnosed with Myleodysplastic Syndrome last month and is need of a bone marrow transplant. Luckily, she has two brothers that are a match. But she says, during her process, she noticed so many right in the Rochester area, who were in need of match.
Anyone between 16-years-old and 45-years-old can take part. All you have to do is fill out paperwork and a cheek swap.
The bone marrow drive is happening until 8:00p.m. Tuesday night at Cosgrove Middle School in Spencerport.
