A western New York teenager is facing charges in connection with a fatal crash in Livingston County.
Sheriff's deputies say 18-year-old Nathan Poddany of Canaseraga in Allegany County has been charged with criminally negligent homicide for the August crash that killed his passenger, 16-year-old Connor Gilbert.
Depupties say Poddany was driving in the town of Ossian 45 miles south of Rochester when he lost control at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 18. His pickup truck ran into a stand of trees and rolled onto the passenger side. The wreck wasn't discovered until the next morning.
Poddany was flown to a hospital with serious injuries.
