Call it a case of the tail wagging the dog. A new study finds which direction your dog's tail moves is a sign of much more than his desire for treats.
Researchers in Italy found when dogs move their tail to the right, they are experiencing positive emotions and when they move their tail to the left, they are likely anxious, scared or angry.
They also found dogs pick up on other dogs' tail movements when they saw them move to the right, they were relaxed but when those tails went to the left, their heart rate picked up.
