A crash involving a tractor-trailer caused a power outage Friday morning in parts of eastern Orleans County and in the Village of Holley. It happened around 8 a.m. on Fancher Road in the Town of Murray.
Deputies say the operator of the tractor-trailer, a 23-year-old Hamlin man, was exiting westbound on State Route 31 onto Fancher Road when he lost control. Investigators say the truck jack-knifed, hitting several parked cars at A&M Transmission Service and a National Grid utility pole.
The driver was not injured. Deputies say unsafe speed is likely a factor in the crash.
