A 70-year-old Seneca Falls woman was killed in a crash on Sunday evening. It happened on Routes 5 & 20 in Geneva near the Ramada and the lakefront.
Police tell News10NBC Charlotte Ghaly was westbound when her vehicle crossed over into the eastbound lane and hit a vehicle head-on. Ghaly was taken to Geneva General Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her three-year-old grandson was in the vehicle at the time of the crash. He was taken to the hospital with a head injury but was conscious and breathing at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, 23-year-old Andrew Lipiska, suffered a leg injury.
Investigators say Ghaly may have had an underlying medical condition that contributed to the cause of the crash.
