You might have spent the past few months coming up with ways to make your neighborhood safer. Now it's time for you to decide which ideas will work the best.
Voting began Monday in the city's "Voice of the Citizen" plan. Officials started holding meetings back in August to try to gather ideas from residents. Mayor Richards set aside $200,000 in the budget, up to $50,000 per quadrant, to make some of those ideas a reality.
The voting period runs until December 16. Residents who are at least 16 can vote for one action plan from their ballot based on their quadrant.
Once voting closes the plans with the most votes will begin being put into place in January.
