About a dozen people have gathered to lay wreaths and flowers on the platform of the Long Island Rail Road to remember a deadly shooting on the commuter rail 20 years ago.
On Dec. 7, 1993, a gunman opened fire on a train car filled with commuters leaving New York City. By the time passengers tackled Colin Ferguson, six people were dead and 19 were wounded. On Saturday, survivors and relatives gathered at the Merillon Avenue station - where the train was headed.
U.S. Rep. Carolyn McCarthy lost her husband in the massacre, and her son was severely injured but survived.  She says they have moved on, but there is never closure.
McCarthy became a key spokeswoman for the victims' families after the shooting and ran for Congress in 1996.
