Is your caregiver a family member who is taking time out to make sure you have the things you need? Today AARP is calling it a crisis. Officials say the number of family members who are left to care for their aging loved ones is growing significantly.
The agency says the state needs to do more to provide financial support for those who are volunteering their services. Most times those individuals have to take time from work or leave their jobs to care for others.
AARP says right now there are more than 150,000 people who are 50 years old or older who are in need of help. Experts are now asking the state to provide funding and develop a support program.
