If you have an electric car, soon you will be able to charge it up inside one of the city's garages or parking lots.
Mayor Tom Richards says construction is underway to install electric charging stations. He says 24 of them will be installed inside these garages as well as the city hall parking lot, the public market and Port of Rochester.
The city received a grant for this as part of the pilot project. News10NBC is told you'll be able to use the charging stations for free for the first year after they're installed.
Construction is expected to be done by April of next year.
