The owners of The Marketplace Mall are planning some changes and they're looking for tax breaks to help make those changes happen.

Wilmorite says it has plans to demolish at least part of the space currently occupied by the Bon-Ton once the store closes in March. It will also tear down an adjacent building where DSW used to be. In place of both stores, the company says it hopes to bring new anchor stores and some specialty retail and restaurants.

It’s applying for a PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) for the new development.

On Wednesday, News10NBC obtained a copy of a letter that the Rush Henrietta School District submitted to COMIDA regarding his concerns over the redevelopment of the mall. To read the letter, click here.
