If you're looking to try a fresh taste in Rochester, there's a brand new place to eat in the East End.
It's called Havana Cabana. It's on Alexander Street, right next door to the Old Toad.
On Wednesday the owners joined city officials and Senator Joe Robach to cut the ribbon on the new restaurant.
It has a Caribbean menu and the executive chef spent years in south Florida, but he's moved those tastes up here to Rochester.
“Rochester is a new adventure for me, and we've been here about eight months. I understand this outside stuff happens quite a bit, but we've gone a long way to create a cool cruise ship escape, so you can come in and feel like you're somewhere else for a short period of time,” said Executive Chef Trey Yager, Executive Chef.
There is live music and dancing on Friday and Saturday nights.
