A carpet sold exclusively at Lowe’s stores has been recalled because it fails to meet federal flammability standards, posing a fire hazard.
The Aristocrat II carpet was sold Lowe’s nationwide between June and September 2013 for about $1 a square foot.

No injuries have been reported.
Detailed description from CPSC.gov: Wall-to-wall carpet with style number 7L514. The carpet was sold in one color, “Pale Clay.” A date stamp on the back of the carpet reads “USA 760 MEA 52545,” the date “06-07-2013,” a time range between 00:45 and 3:00 and the words “Pile: 100% Polyester.” The stamp is repeated every six feet.
