State police are investigating a snowmobile crash in the Adirondack Mountains that killed a 52-year-old central New York man.
Troopers say Gregory Labarge of Pulaski was operating a 1996 Polaris snowmobile in the town of Indian Lake when he hit a ditch and was thrown from the snowmobile. The accident happened just before 9 p.m. Thursday.
Labarge was transported to Glens Falls Hospital by ambulance, but while en route the hospital advised emergency medical workers to stop life-saving measures.
Labarge was pronounced dead at 9:20 p.m. by the Hamilton County coroner. The cause of death will be determined by autopsy results.
Troopers are asking anyone who may have information about the crash to call the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Ray Brook at 518-897-2000.
