No charges will be filed in the death of a 50-year-old woman hit and killed while crossing Route 364 in Canandaigua.
Maryann Taddonio was hit on December 2 and died from her injuries nearly 10 days later.
Sheriff’s deputies tell News10NBC there was no sign of drug or alcohol use by Taddonio or the driver and speed and cell phone use have been ruled out.
Investigators say the cause of the crash is pedestrian error/distraction on the part of Taddonio as she entered the road with no crosswalk into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
