Some people in need received a nice holiday treat Wednesday. The Salvation Army handed out holiday food baskets all over the Rochester area.

Now the agency says it is turning its focus back to raising money for next year and organizers say they need your help.

There’s now just a week until Christmas and so far, only $352,000 has been raised. The goal is $560,000.

Major Douglas Hart, Salvation Army, said, “I think we all feel like we had part in brightening someone's life when we think about Christmas when we're unwrapping presents and enjoying time with the family. We can think about the people especially the children who wouldn't have had the opportunity otherwise."
