Route 96 in Ontario County is back open after a serious four-car crash just before 7 a.m. It happened in Phelps about a mile east of Route 14.
Officials tell News10NBC a deer crossing the road is what caused drivers to lose control. One vehicle ended up on its roof and Mercy Flight took two people to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Two others said they didn't need any treatment.
Police have not released any of the victims’ names yet.
