Have you shopped at a Target store lately? If so, your credit or debit card information might be at risk.

The Secret Service says credit and debit card numbers were stolen by data thieves. They say the breach started on Black Friday, November 29 and could have lasted all the way through December 15.

The breach was uncovered by a security industry blogger. He says the data mining could impact all 1,700 stores in the U.S.

Target says up to 40-million card accounts may have been affected by data breach. At this point, there are no indications the thefts affected shoppers on Target's website.

Security experts say thieves will likely use your information, including the pin number, to make fake cards and withdraw money from ATMs. If you shopped at a Target store, experts recommend changing your pin and looking at your account for unauthorized transactions.
