For the fourth time this school year, the Rochester City School District is taking steps to make sure kids get back in the classroom.
School administrators, staff and volunteers will join together for a truancy blitz today.
Officials will go to the homes of students who have been chronically absent from school to try to find out why these students are not in school and what can the district do to help.
Overall when it comes to truancy, the district says one in four kids average more than 15 absences per school year.
