Deep brain stimulation appears to improve the driving skills of people with Parkinson's Disease.
German researchers tested the driving ability of Parkinson's patients who had a stimulator, a surgical implant that sends electrical impulses to the brain, as well as the driving skills of patients without the implant.
People with the stimulators performed better in all driving skills, and even outperformed a control group of patients without Parkinson's disease in the category of 'slight errors.'
