Saturday night's weather could prove to be a nightmare for last minute shoppers, especially on the west side.
There's only four days left until Christmas. Some last minute shoppers News10NBC spoke with said this weather is more of a nuisance than anything.
It was a busy day at the Wegmans on Latta Road, with many shoppers anticipating the weather. Some shoppers said they are all to familiar with the weather in the area this time of year, so they were out Saturday hoping to get a jump on whatever mother nature may bring.
Some said that they were prepared for the worst.
“I was out 12 hours without power last night here in Greece, so I really don't want it again tonight,” said Robin Longo, Greece resident.
“Have you prepped for it?” asked News10NBC's Chalonda Roberts.
“I went and got batteries, I have candles, and I even have a book that I can read by kindle. I just got it if I need to,” Longo.
“(I heard) that there's going to be ice and possibly a lot of electricity could go out and trees falling. I can't wait to get home in my nice warm house,” said Ann Velario, Greece Resident.
It seems grocery shoppers are not the only ones getting a jump start. News10NBC has learned there are utility trucks on stand by in Henrietta. We're told they are here from as far away as Massachusetts.
