Christmas might have come a little early for some local shoppers this weekend in the form of a local layaway Santa.
A woman went in to the Kmart store in Victor on Friday night and offered to pay a certain amount of money. News10NBC is told that amount is around $5,000, all to help out people in need this holiday season.
So employees went around the store and chose some shoppers that had toys for young children who might have had trouble paying for them.
"She came in and said she wants to pay off on people's layaways and people with children that have toys that were a little behind with their payments,” said Kmart employee Kathy McKenna.
There's no word on who this very generous woman was. Workers say she wanted to remain anonymous.
