A husband and wife had to be rescued from Black Creek Park Tuesday evening.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says the couple were in the park when they got lost. Deputies were able to locate the couple about a mile into the park in a marsh area, where they were surrounded by knee deep water. Deputies were able to get through the water and help get them to a save area.

The couple was lost for about two hours and were treated for exposure. However, there were no serious injuries.

The Scottsville Fire Department assisted in the search.
