A 37-year-old Binghamton area man, who police say was involved in a deadly wrong way crash on I-490 has been released from the hospital.
Strong Memorial Hospital tells News10NBC that Thomas Rome was released. Sheriff's deputies say Rome also posted bail on December 20.
Rome has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, operating a vehicle the wrong way, reckless driving and DWI. Investigators say he was drunk when he crashed into a SUV with Tatiana Chekina inside earlier this month. She was a passenger inside the SUV and she died at the scene.
Chekina was an assistant professor of piano at the Eastman School of Music. Her husband, Oleh Krysa, was also in the SUV and survived.
