After two weeks of voting, the results are in for the Voice of the Citizen budgeting for public safety vote.
The contest allowed Rochester residents to have a say in what issues in their communities receive funding. In the southwest quadrant, the winning project will provide job referrals for adults in the community. The southeast award voted for civic engagement programs, northwest will work on crime prevention and the northeast quadrant voted for GIS scholarship programs.
Each city quadrant will receive $50,000 toward its program, which will begin planning phases in January.
