Do you or a loved one have a pacemaker? Researchers say they are getting ready to test the world's smallest one.
It's the size of a nickel and researchers say it does not contain lead like current pacemakers and it has the same 10-year battery life.
To implant it, doctors will just have to make a small incision in a leg vein and use a catheter to direct the pacemaker to your heart.
If the device works well in trials, doctors said it could be available in Europe in as soon as one year and in the United States in about three years.
