Rochester Police have released the name of the man who was shot and killed at a private party inside a recording studio on New Year's morning.
Officers say there was a fight around 3:00 a.m. at a private party inside a recording studio on Lois Street, which is off Lyell Avenue near Child Street.
According to police, two people were shot by the same suspect. Twenty three-year-old Terrance Beatty was declared dead at the scene and 27-year-old Brandon Pearce was taken to the hospital and later released.
Police do not have a suspect in custody and officers are still interviewing witnesses.
Police say Captain John Corbelli was injured on his way to that shooting. We’re told Corbelli was on Lyell Avenue with his lights on when a car turned in front of him and struck his cruiser. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and released.
