Waterloo man killed in snowmobile crash

A 26-year-old Waterloo man was killed in a snowmobile crash in Wayne County. It happened in the Town of Lyons at 3 a.m.

Sheriff’s deputies say Kory Rauscher was east on Old Lyons Road when he struck a guide rail and was thrown from his snowmobile. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators tell News10NBC two other snowmobilers who were with Rauscher are facing charges. Robert Daldry, 42 of Waterloo, and Alan Johnson, 56 of Middlesex, are both charged with operating while intoxicated and operating with a BAC greater than .08%. Both are due in court at a later date.
