News10NBC checked in with a few local heating companies who say they've been flooded with calls because of the cold weather.
Isaac Heating and Cooling says they've been busy and answering calls around the clock for people who have been having problems heating their homes. News10NBC caught up with them while they were working on a home in Webster. They say if your heater stops working, the cause can often be simple.
Brad Clossner, Isaac Heating and Cooling, said, "It's been very very busy. We've had a lot of exhaust intakes being cleared and a lot of other things people just don't think about like batteries in the thermostat. Some things you can check before you call us. Always check your exhaust, always check your filter, always check your thermostat battery."
