News10NBC has been telling you about people leaving the state in our exclusive New York State Exposed reports. Now a new study says more people are leaving the Empire State than are coming in.
This story comes to us from our news partners at the Rochester Business Journal. The article talks about United Van Lines' annual study of customers' state-to-state moves.
Among its moves to and from New York last year more than 60 percent involved people leaving New York. That's third most, according to the report, with the only states with a higher percentage are New Jersey and Illinois.
So where are people going? The study says Oregon, South Carolina and North Carolina had the highest percentages of people moving-in last year.
