Doctors are warning everyone about the dangerous cold weather. Experts suggest you make sure your skin is covered. They also say don't stay outside for long periods of time. Instead, they say you should take breaks to give your body a chance to warm up.
Doctors also say pay close attention to warning signs.
Dr. Michael Kamali, University of Rochester Emergency Medicine Chair, said, "If you've feeling pain, if you're feeling pins and needles, your body is telling you it's too cold. Time to get inside and warm up. If you're shivering, it's cold, it's time to warm up."
Dr. Kamali also say if you can no longer feel any tingling or shivering or pain, you should probably seek medical treatment.
