It’s back to the delight of children and parents. Today, officials announced the dates of "Balloon Manor 2014". The last time the event was held was in 2008. It was cancelled in 2009 due to lack of sponsorships.

The family-friendly event used to be held at Medley Centre in October and balloon artists from around the world built the rooms and decorations. This year's theme is "The Very Tall Tale of Jack and his Beanstalk".

Larry Moss of Airigami said, “Balloon Manor 2014 came about because every year since the last Balloon Manor I have gotten phone calls and emails asking when we're going to do it again, some of them pretty nasty. One of my favorites was ‘How dare you introduce us to Balloon Manor and not do it again!’"

This year's Balloon Manor will be held from February 5 through February 9 at The Sibley Building in Rochester. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The project has raised more than $80,000 for local charities.
