A Livingston County 911 dispatcher provided medical information to a woman whose daughter delivered a baby on the side of the road.

Sheriff’s officials tell News10NBC Cynthia May placed a 911 call early Tuesday morning to reporting that her daughter was going into labor in a vehicle on Route 98 in Wyoming County. Less than a minute into the call, May’s daughter delivered the baby. We are told dispatcher Matthew Snyder remained in constant contact with May and provided important medical instructions until first responders could reach them.

Sheriff Thomas Dougherty tells us that all 911 dispatchers undergo emergency medical training in the event that something like this happens.

We are told mother and baby are doing great.
