Two sheriff’s deputies were injured while responding to a bank robbery in Pittsford Thursday afternoon.

Deputies say around 1:30 p.m. a 25 to 30-year-old man entered the Bank of America on North Main Street and passed a note to the teller demanding cash. Investigators say the suspect was wearing a blonde wig, dark pants, green hooded sweatshirt and aviator sunglasses.

While en route to the robbery, a patrol car was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Monroe Avenue and Clover Street. Both deputies were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The robbery remains under investigation.
