The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says a 48-year-old man was drunk when he hit a Water Authority backhoe in his mini-van Friday evening.

Deputies say William Young is charged with driving while intoxicated follow that crash. Investigators say Young was at the intersection of East Henrietta Road and Erie Station Road around 7:30 p.m. Friday night. At that intersection, deputies say Young hit the backhoe that was working at intersection.

News10NBC is told nobody was injured, but investigators say the backhoe was pushed about forty yards before it came to a rest as result of the crash.

Young was charged with driving while intoxicated after being examined by paramedics.
