The Rochester Police Department says a teen was seriously injured after being hit by a car early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to Ames Street near Campbell Street just before 12:20 a.m. for reports of a motor vehicle crash. When police arrived, they says they found a 14-year-old boy who had been hit by a car.
The boy was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, according to police. As of 10:15 a.m., Officials say he is currently in stable condition.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash, but say a 36-year-old woman is currently in custody and is being charged with vehicular assault.
The incident is still under investigation at this time.
