Testing for Alzheimer's

Experts are studying an at-home test that could help detect Alzheimer's in its earliest stages.

Using a basic pen and paper test, researchers at Ohio State University asked more than one thousand adults questions about language, memory, location and reasoning.They found about 30% of participants had cognitive impairments they were not aware of prior to the test.

Researchers say the simplicity of the test is the easiest way to screen large groups for early signs of the disease.
