Investigators say a teen girl was the victim of a shooting on the city's north side Monday evening.
The Rochester Police Department says officers responded to Hollister Street near Clifford Avenue around 5 p.m. for a report of a person shot.
When they arrived on scene, News10NBC is told officers found a 13-year-old girl who had been shot once in her upper body on an enclosed porch.
She was taken by Rural/Metro to Strong Memorial Hospital with what police say are non-life threatening injuries. Investigators say they don't believe the teen was the intended target.
According to police, a group of men were standing in the driveway at the home on Hollister Street when a silver mini-van pulled up and a person in the van fired several shots at the group. The victim was on the porch when she was shot.
Police say no other victims were found and the scene and the investigation is still ongoing.
