People in Henrietta are getting a different kind of TOPS grocery store starting Wednesday.
TOPS held a grand opening for its new building Wednesday morning. The 55,000 square foot store is in the Frontier Commons Plaza on Jefferson Road, down the road from the old location.
TOPS executives and store management were on hand for the event. The new store cost $5 million. Organizers say the new building reflects the company's ongoing investment in the Rochester area.
Frank Curci, TOPS Friendly Markets CEO said, "We have always thought this was a market that held a lot of opportunity for tops. Our stores were in need of an upgrade, and we are in the middle of doing that. This store is the latest example and I think customers will find a nice easy shopping experience where they could find whatever they want in a store today."
The gas station at the new store will open in two weeks.
