A follow-up in the case of a man accused of beating his girlfriend to death in a dorm at the College at Brockport.

The Monroe County District Attorney's Office says the trial for Clayton Whittemore has been postponed until March 31. His trial was supposed to start at the end of this month.

The district attorney's office says that they are still awaiting a decision from a May suppression hearing and the psychological evaluation on Whittemore is still not complete. The results of the evaluation could change the charges against him.

Police say Whittemore killed his former girlfriend Alexandra Kogut inside her dorm room in September 2012.
