People living in Seneca County have the chance to weigh in on plans to build a casino resort in Seneca County. The proposal would put a casino in the town of Tyre, right off the Thruway.
The $350-million proposal would create 3,000 jobs and pump nearly $8-million into the local economy each year. The developer is one well-known in the Rochester area. The Wilmorite firm manages Eastview, Greece Ridge and Marketplace Mall, along with Pittsford Plaza.
The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. It's at the Magee Volunteer Fire Department on Route 318 in Seneca Falls.
